Tangix HelpDeskPRO 1.4.31 Released

Tangix is proud to announce the release of Tangix HelpDeskPRO 1.4.31.

New feature: Login as User
Sometimes it is valuable for staff members to see the user pages as the user does, for example to be able to guide a user through the functions of the user pages or show the company files that were added in version 1.4.30.

A prerequisite is that the user’s account has been assigned a password, either by staff members or through signing up to the company account. If the user has a password assigned, the staff has access to the Login as user functions from the view request page or when adding a response to a request.

Logging in as a user will show the user pages for that user. A red banner is displayed at the top of the page to remind the staff member that this is not the staff pages:

All functions are active and the staff member has full access to the user pages and all functions.

New feature: Staff access to company files
Another 1.4.30 feature that is being refined in version 1.4.31 is the Company Files where staff access to the Company Files has been added. If a company has Company Files, a link is available when viewing a request from that company. Clicking this link will display a popup window with a list of Company Files with the option to download any of the files:

Enhancements and other fixes
Some minor changes in this release;

• file size of Company Files has been added to the lists of Company Files
• the visual appearance of the Company Files links have been changed
• company name was not shown correctly on User Pages when adding a request
